Construction Estimating Services:


Construction estimates are based upon a detailed measurement of quantities when possible, and reasonable allowance for items not clearly defined in the documents: complete drawings, conceptual drawings, sketches, specifications or ideas.

 

Estimates reflect probable construction costs obtained in a competitive and stable bidding market.

Estimates are a determination of fair market value for the construction project and is not intended to be a prediction of low bid. Experience indicates that a fewer number of bidders may result in a higher bid amount, and more bidders may result in a lower bid result.

 

 

 

Value Engineering:


Value Engineering Is a systematic method to improve the “Value” of goods and services by using an examination of function. Value, as defined, is the ratio of function to cost. Value can therefore be increased by either improving the function or reducing the cost. It is a primary tenet of value engineering that basic functions be preserved and not be reduced as a consequence of pursuing value improvements.

 

In most cased this practice identifies and removes unnecessary expenditures, thereby increasing the value for the client.
